The Route

Leg 1: South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe

The team will start in Johannesburg, South Africa. Heading East from Jo'Burg the first stop will be Balule Nature Reserve where we'll be speaking to the Black Mamba Anti-poaching unit. From there we'll bear North into Southern Botswana arcing East into Northern Zimbabwe. We'll then be spending some time filming in Hwange National Park. 

Leg 2: Zambia

The second leg will start at Victoria Falls. After a few rest days we'll begin our trans Zambian leg from the West to Chipata at the Eastern Border with Malawi. At Chipata we'll link up with 'Time and Tide Foundation' where we'll spend an extended period of time filming. This will take us to Lower Zambezi National Park, Liuwa Plain National Park, South Luangwa National Park and Kasanka Game Reserve.

Leg 3: Malawi and Tanzania

The team will then be dropped back in Chipata where we'll resume our cycle by heading into Malawi. We'll cycle the length of Lake Malawi stopping mid way up to film at Nkhotakota Wild Life Reserve. From Malawi we'll enter South Western Tanzania. From Tanzania, we'll bear North West into Rwanda.

Leg 4: Rwanda and Uganda

Rwanda, known as the country of a thousand hills, this will be where we really test ourselves. Cycling the length of Rwanda, we'll stop off at Akagera National Park. From Rwanda we'll enter Uganda. Uganda will also be a challenging ride as we tackle the roads, or lack thereof, on route to the jungle of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the West of Uganda. From there, we'll bear East across to the Kenyan border.

Leg 5: Kenya

Upon entering Kenya it will be a final straight of sorts to Nairobi.
